Fellowship in Aesthetic & Anti Aging Medicine (FAAM)

Aesthetic Medicine

Aesthetic medicine is a developing branch of medicine based on the use of minimally invasive cosmetic treatments to enhance patients’ satisfaction with their physical appearance. This specialty is primarily focused on the pathophysiology of aging skin and adheres to scientific based procedures.

Adding Aesthetic Procedures to your Practice

Aesthetic procedures are no longer limited to the fields of Dermatology and Plastic Surgery as many specialties are now offering non invasive procedures in order to better accommodate their patients aesthetic needs. Dermatologists and plastic surgeons are now also looking to acquire new techniques as patients’ demand for the latest, safest and least invasive procedures are considerably growing. The Fellowship in Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine (FAAM) by ICAM will help professionals from all medical specialties add new services to their practice.

Fellowship in Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine (FAAM) is a one year full time/part time programme in which the resident physicians are required to work in the ICAM attached cosmetic centres, here they will be assisting, observing and mastering the procedures in cosmetic dermatology.

FAAM program will provide physicians with the practical support, training in the art and science of aesthetic medicine.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge of procedures in dedicated facilities by observing experts and participating in patient consultations. This may include all aspectsof treatment including initial consultations and patient treatment options as well as various procedures, use of equipment and patient follow-ups. Participants will increase the safety and accuracy of their work, deepen their understanding of establishing and operating a successful aesthetic practice, and gain the confidence to independently perform various procedures on their patients.

Participants will become part of the ICAM team and will be actively participating in the training courses also.
